The Plague Keeper

This serves as my entry into Impfrit character creation contest!

Throughout history, large-scale tragedies have plagued mankind time and time again. From the infamous ten plagues of Egypt, to the Black Death (which wiped out nearly 2/3 of Europe's population!), these pandemics have been a constant source of sorrow for people the world over. So who is to blame for these calamities? Most would point to God, the Devil, or simply deplorable hygiene, but there is a force that hides behind all of these usual suspects. He is an ancient being of subtle, yet extraordinary power. He is known simply as: the Plague Keeper.

The Plague Keeper is, by in large, a neutral force. He owns a shop in a pocket dimension, accessible via various ethereal, (and even some corporeal)methods of travel. Within this shop lay countless artifacts and items which instigate various plagues and pandemics. The Plague Keeper pledges his allegiance to no specific god or deity, rather choosing to work for whomever offers him the most lucrative deal for one of his prized possessions.

Despite his mastery over the macabre, the Plague Keeper's shop is far less frequented these days. The forces of Heaven no longer see reasons to smite humanity, and the forces of Hell have found more extreme, and less discerning, means of wreaking havoc upon the unassuming populace. However, there is one new visitor to his shop, and he goes by the name of Impfrit. As a son of both heaven and hell, the Plague Keeper is intrigued by this genetically divided newcomer. The old shop keep is often eager to assist Impfrit in his battles against the forces of Hell. He is content knowing that his services are once again of use.

Some popular items in the Plague Keeper's Shop!

1. The Blood Bag- Pour the contents of this bag into any water source, and it immediately transforms that water source into blood!
2. Repli-Frog- Give this little a guy a tap, and a new frog spawns from his back. In a few minutes, you'll be up to your neck in these slimy amphibians!
3. Plague Rat- A rat swarming with fleas, hyper-infected with the bubonic plague. Useful for taking out those large, pesky populations!
4. Jar of Flies- Simply remove the lid, and a never-ending torrent of flies emerges from this unassuming glass jar!
5. Spark Rock- Toss this baby up into the air, and run for cover, before you know it this little rock will have sparked a torrential rain of fiery hail!
